2008 VW Passat 2.0t tsi

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently my tensioner broke in my Passat & devastated
my engine. After rebuilding the engine and retiming the
chain my car will still not start. When it is not timed and
we check engine compression all four cylinders are
perfect. When we time the engine and check compression
3 cylinders have 0 compression & the 4th cylinder is
perfect. Does anyone know why this is?? Or can
recommend anything to try?

1 Answer

You may have reversed the timing and used TDC exhaust instead of TDC compression.
