2008 Ford Expedition Door Latch

Recently my window regulator was replaced on the passenger side door and now if someone uses the handle on the inside of the passenger door, the door will not latch until you hit the auto lock button 2 or 3 times and then it latches.  Any ideas?

Sounds like there is something binding or not connected properly in the door. Probably need to pull the door panel and check what is preventing it from latching.
