can't get much volume when playing my mp3 player through aux jack

I have the MP3 at max volume and same with car stereo

I'm not sure about the new factory radios but every aftermarket I have encountered has a setting for the auxiliary just like the bass treble and mid where you can turn it up and down there also... if not then it sounds like the aux cord isn't a quality cord

If you don't have a separate AUX level adjustment in your radio you will most likely need a small booster/preamp. Google portable headphone amp, FiiO, Sound Shocker etc. There is lots of stuff out there. I like Sound Shocker. No batteries, charger, or external power. YMMV
