wireing problem

Asked by My65help Nov 21, 2013 at 11:40 AM about the 1965 Pontiac GTO

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 65 gto that was stripped and the wiring harness i put in under the dash was for a tempest with idiot lights on the dash
My question is my 65 has factory gauges and on the motor there are the  factory sending units on the motor for the rally gauges
How do I wire or cut off light sockets to make it work with the factory gauges ?

You can order the correct wiring harness from Ames Performance if 'originality' is important. Or, the wiring diagram is available on line. I ran gauges AND idiot lights off the same wire (a single wire controls the temp gauge, and a single wire controls the amp gauge) so it will work.
