Did you check voltage and ground at the fuel pump connector before you replaced anything? Gray wire is voltage, black wire is ground. Did you check for voltage at the fuelpump/injector fuse? That fuse circuit goes hot with the key on. Use a test light to check for voltage. One terminal for the load side of relay should be hot with key on, the other leg on the load side carries carries voltage to the pump. It is possible to use proper size jumper wire between those two terminals and the fuel pump should run, don't need to crank it. The load side of relay is that arm with the arrow-head. The other side of relay/coil side is for control.
