2002 chevy cavalier

My 2002 chevy cavalier overheats and
pushes all of my radiator fluid out of
over flow hose and runs hot. My car
cranks up and my ac runs perfectly..So I
had one mechanic to look at it for me
and he said it was my engine because i
have one blown head gasket.So i dont
know if that is really the problem or not.
So do anyone have any suggestions? Or
have they went through anything like
this before?

You probably have a blown head gasket. Why are you doubting your mechanic and asking a bunch of strangers?
Well it wasn't the problem before it over heated, but certainly is a problem now. Over heating causes the heads to warp causing head gaskets to leak. You may have had a problem with the water pump, thermostat, or plugged radiator which now cause a bad head gasket.
Check your car's oil level with the oil dipstick. If you notice froth on the dipstick, there may be coolant mixed in with the oil due to a faulty head gasket. Also sweet smelling white smoke with water droplets coming from the exhaust pipe. Hopefully you didn't crack that engine due to over heating. Before tearing down that engine try replace the thermostat. If you still losing coolant, check the hoses too for leaking. If leaking from the engine block that's a big problem. Good luck!
Had same issue and was told i had a cracked head gasket turn out to be to much 50/50 & i needed a thermostat. Try that and if it doesn't work ask you mechanic about dyke. You buy it at auto zone and it telld you how to mix it. Works great.
