I would check the fuel pressure. It should be 56 to 63 lbs. Could be a bad fuel pump, fuel regulator, or leaking injectors.

My grandson has a 2012 Chev Silverado and it was making noise, so took it to the dealership, it was the cam and pistons, it is fuel flex and everyone that owns one is having the same problem that has fuel flex vehicle, they repaired it and in two days it's doing it again it's warranty will be out in Aug. It's awful to end up probably buying a new vehicle

my 2001 chey silverado at first had a hard time shifting down while going up hill until i let off the gas to get the Rmp's down than would shift down. later it would be driving fine then would act like the transmission was slipping or came out of gear the rpms would race but truck wouldnt move unless i sat on the side of the road for a few mintues then it would act fine then do that again. now it wont go foward at all but will go back wards with no problem. what could the problem be? 1 Answer

I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado extended cab, 4.8 liter. I have had multiple issues with this vehicle, but the one I can't seem to solve is this: if I leave the truck sitting for a day, when I get in and start driving, about 5 miles down the road, it acts like it is being starved of fuel. The engine light starts blinking and there is no power even when i step on the gas fully. After a minute or two, it goes away and runs fine unless I let it sit for a couple days. I just replaced my fuel lines because they were rusted out but that didn't solve the problem. Any ideas anyone? 6 Answers
