Sounds like your ignition switch is bad , The new one will probably have to be programed by the dealer so have hem do it , Your experience may differ

Sounds like ignition switch, does not need to be programmed, lots of "tube" vids on how to do it properly. The key release is located underneath on the plastic steering wheel shroud, there is a hole there. IF no hole, there will be an indentation where the hole was supposed to be, carefully drill it out.
