Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a used Express cargo van with no owners manual, the fuse is burnt
out, and I don't know if it's because it's too small.

The old fuse was a 20 amp, and it burnt out. Are you sure a 15 amp is big enough?

Yes,but if it blowed a 20 amp,you have other issues,check your bulbs,

I just bought the van with a blown fuse. It has a receiver hitch, and electric braks for the trailer. I'm thinking they were pulling some big trailers with lots of lights. I'll put a 15 amp fuse in there and see what happens. Thanks for the help.

Your just going to blow the 15 amp fuse as it is a smaller fuse than a 20 amp.. Sounds like there is a problem with the trailer wiring...

Agree, there is a issue in wiring or bulbs, untill you find it it will blow fuses, and if you try to up the fuse amprage, you may cause more damage to the wiring,

I will check continuity between the brake light wire and ground. That will tell me if there is a short.
