I have a 1983 crown victoria ltd

Asked by Karen Mar 11, 2015 at 12:07 AM about the 1983 Ford LTD Crown Victoria

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It goes dead after driving it about 30 min. One foot
on the gas and one on the brake keeps it revving
most of the time. idling you can hear it getting ready
to die out without gassing it. It used to start right up
when it would go in the middle of the street now it
only rev like its out of gas or flooded. A mechanic
told me i needed a throttle body injector. I dont know
the filter has been changed. Im thinking the injectors
but isnt there an electrical part that signals the gas to
move up into the carburetor to keep the car from
going dead? If so what is the name? and is there a
carbureutor too? my email is morgkxx1 @gmail.com

It could be the battery or the alternator, most probably the battery. If it stills run for about 30 minutes is nothing else besides that.
