Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The fuel pump on my 1986 LTD Crown Victoria quickly primes the system for a second or two when I turn the key on but now it stays running when the Key is on, before I try to start the car, and when I try to start my car it will not start. I have 40 PSI on the rail. What could cause this problem?

you could have a hole in the fuel line or return line causeing a pressure drop, this will keep the pump pumping.
