Did Oldsmobile make a 1964 Cutlass 442 with an automatic transmission?

I don't think you could get an automatic until 1965. There were no options listed on the ID plate in 64.
I have a 64 442 & in 64 the 442 option could be added to F-85s & cutlass hard top, coupe & convertible models & there were even 10 4 door 442s made. They all had high compression 330ci v8 engines built with the police package The "442" was short for & stood for "4" barrel carb "4" speed transmission & "2" exhaust pipes or dual exhaust. No automatics were made I'm aware of. Olds introduced the 400ci engine in 1965 & the 65 "442" name became its own model & then stood for "4" 400ci engine "4" barrel carb & "2" dual exhaust. Automatics transmissions were then available in the 1965 442s.
The 64 Olds 442 was one of a kind its name is Ur answer "442" 4 on the floor/ 4 barrel carburetor/ 2 dual exhausts Hope that answers Ur question Oh in 65 everything changed 442 meant 400 cu in engine 4 on the floor & 2 dual exhausts now that one came as a option with a AUTOMATIC

None of the 64 442's came with an automatic. 4 speed only. There are more fakes out there now than the 2,999 built.

The 64's were all 4 speeds. The 65 could be had with an automatic,3 or 4 speed. One fact few know, that due to a 400 cubic inch engine shortage, some 65 442's came from the factory with a 425.
