are there any "hacks" to remove very very old courtesy light bulbs in a 1972 old cutlass supreme without them cracking

I have a 1972 olds cutlass supreme and I cannot remove the courtesy light
bulbs that are burned out

Dirt, grime, or rust might be keeping it stuck in the bulb holder, maybe spray it with some penetrating oil to loosen them, if the bulb breaks just use a pair of needlenose to twist the remainder out. I wouldn't worry too much about not breaking the bulb, you can still buy them at parts stores.

If you break the bulb you can use needle nose pliers to grab the metal base. Twist it to remove.
