If your car came with a small block which im sure it did it has a TH350. The biggest majority of the TH400 was put into trucks RV's and big Block Cars which were not produced much around 1986

I have a 87 cutlass supreme with a 307 v8 on the transmission pan it says METRIC,but the pan is the same shape as the TH350 so I have the same problem.

If it says metric, that means it's a 200R4 with overdrive I believe.

I'm trying to figure out if I have a 3 speed or 4 speed transmission on my 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. I only have the VIN number and the gears are listed as P R N D D 2 1

Most autos from that period are 4-speeds with automatic overdrive.

I have an 86 Olds with a 3 speed and the tranny i a TH200. If you have a 4 speed overdrive then you have the TH200R4

You have a 3 speed 250,no o around a capital case D then no over drive if thats ya original transmission.

you have either a 200r4 trans or a turbo 350C the difference between rhe turbo 350C is it has a lock up converter witch give you your overdrive look at the pan it will tellyou all you need to know. The only way to tell the difference between the turbo 350 and the turbo 350c is the 350c has and electrical plug in the side

hi... i have a 1988 olds cutlass international 2.8 5 speed manual been told its real rare gm dealers said they never seen one, i know it ripes and burns tires in 3 gears but i dont do it much its been in storage for over 10 years
