To replace: You'll need to first remove the transmission oil pan from the vehicle, Make sure to have the right size socket wrench, have a oil pan and spill tray as well, be careful when you remove the transmission oil pan because it will be full of oil, dump it in your oil pan, remove old transmission oil filter (you may or may not need a start or hex wrench set), install new transmission oil filter, make sure you have new oil pan gasket and hot metal sealants to line the pan with so the pan doesn't drip, tighten nuts back up to little tighter then hand tight/use torque wrench, but don't overtight or pan/oil will leak again. If Just adding a little more: make sure to remove transmission oil dip stick, see what the level is, should be between cold and hot, if low then remove dip stick, get a funnel, and poor appropriate amount and type/weight of transmission oil down the zip stick/tube. DO NOT do this down the engine oil tube. Make sure not to add too much or transmission wont work right.
