My 88 Oldsmobile ran out of gas and now it won't crank.what to do?

Probably need to check fuel filter,if not stopped up change your fuel pump,may have killed it with trash win you ran out of gas.

Check your fuel pump relay first and have someone listen for the fuel pump at the gas door after you change the relay, then If no sound go to the fuel pump and check the ground before thinking about changing out the fuel pump

Trash around sock at pump stopped up,pump runs, but no gas can get threw.
