My Volvo 240 (2008, 150k miles) had its check engine light come on for the first time since I purchased it in 2010.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am about to go on a 300 mile trip this weekend, and am concerned since my check engine light came on recently.  I have never brought the car in for routine maintenance.  Should I be concerned, or can I embark on my trip without bringing it to a mechanic first?

Thanks! My plan is to stop by a place tonight, and get someone to scan it. I will post about whatever is triggering the computer's message, and hopefully can get additional feedback then.

According to the reader, the issue is the fuel pressure regulator. I am having no issues starting up my car... Is this a big issue?
