1999 Chevy Malibu won't start

My car was running fine, using no
fluids, aand getting great gas mileage.
I stopped at the bank and turned it off
and now it won't start. Checked the
battery, replaced the fuel pump and
filters, spark plugs are fine, and a
freind who is a mechanic checked it
and said its not an anti-theft system
malfunction. Has anyone experienced
this? Any idea what would be causing
it? It turns over but won't start.
Im a single ded and really need this
car going. Thanks in advance.

If you recently installed any music or alarm system it will be the resistor. A tiny wire which any music or alarm shop can fix for $50. If they put the wrong one on it will keep your car from starting

Check that module on top of valve covers. It gives spark to plugs. Well it's part of ignition system anyways and probably your problem.

Its probably that module on top of valve cover that is part of ignition system. That is what I was told is normally that type of problem you are having
