2006 Chevy Malibu won't start

Asked by Clyde Jul 18, 2019 at 09:50 PM about the 2006 Chevrolet Malibu LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My anti-theft light is on and my car won't start
because of it. Just bought the car last month from
a used dealer. No keyless remote, just the ignition
key. Any clue how I can get it running again?

Turn the key forward. The anti theft light will flash for about 10 minutes, then stay solid, and then go off. Now turn the key off, and then the car should start.

I have a 2006 to first it wouldn't start because the alarm was showing it was still locked and now it just want start all my lights on dash will come on but want start and before this I would be driving and everything would just shut off but my car would still be driving what is wrong with my car.
