Car won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I turn my key to the "ON" position, my check engine, battery and oil lights stay on;
engine is trying to "turn over" but car will not start.  What might be the problem?

If headlights are able to come on then you automatically know it's not a battery problem. Next step is to check the starter.
