Got oil changed on 97 Silverado about 3 weeks ago and a tranny flush about 2 weeks ago. Oil pressure gage went to 0 a couple days ago. I had unplugged a few wires then plugged them back in and it went back to its normal. Two days later it went back down to 0 and today I started it and it died no more than a minute later. Silverado Ran out of gas about a week ago. Put two gals in it. Started right up made it about 4 mi and then died. Hasn't started since put 10 more gals & bottle of Heet. Sputters sometimes no start 1 Answer
Sounds like fuel pump is working. Motor might kick on for a few sec. But will sputter/ die even with throttle given.
