Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I seem to have lost the reverse gear on my 99 suburban. It acts like it's in neutral when i put it in reverse. Forward gear seem ok and fluid level is good

Hi suburbpete! Great sign in name ... I wish I had good news on your transmission but it's going to have to be handled professionally. I'm not impressed about such a severe problem at such a young mileage. I don't see the footprint on the web of ongoing and repeated transmission problems with that model year and no recalls to help. But if you are the confrontational type you my want to raise a stink and see if you get any relief on the repair, especially if you are the original owner. Good luck!

I got a 1997 chevy tahoe LT that reverse is really weak it will somewhat creep backwards and pushing the gas peddle dose not help but if you put it in 4wd low it will back up but sometime have a clanking sound.
