Rent/borrow/buy a fuel pressure gauge. Then this is an image of the Venture, somewhere is a test port but best image I could find. The fuel pressure specs are 30 psi +/-5

However, running out of gas is very bad. And I don't mean the inconvenience of running out and the hassle of getting a can, etc. When it runs out, the pump tries to work but the gas is the coolant , and may have overheated and burnt up.
