4X4 hi lets you use your 4x4 at higher speeds typically safe to about 80km/h good for city streets in the snow, muddy trails bush roads ect. 4X4 low greatly reduces your speed and puts all that power to torque good for climbing up rocks steep hills or down... things of that sort you will probably never need 4X4 low. Although if you ever do ensure you place your vehicle in neutral completely stopped before you switch in or out of 4X4 LO since you have a push button system the TCCM will not let you switch unless you do... but you can switch in and out of 4X4 hi on the fly
