Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey guy's have any of you heard of any inherent head issues or rocker issues with the lt-1? I was driving down the street and all
of a sudden heard a pop and rattle from motor, thought at first it was a rod, but it starts and idles decent, oil is clean, but it's got
a good loud rattle sound coming from motor, i haven't had the time to pull heads yet, so just wondering if anybody has had
anything similar happen? before i start tearing into it. The motor has a little over 100,000 on it

1 Answer

I would check the valve springs for a broken one befor i would start a teardown.
