Question type: Maintenance & Repair

WHEN I PLUG IN THE SENSOR THAT'S IN FRONT OF THE ENGINE, THE FAN COMES ON BUT WHEN I DISCONNECT THE SENSOR THE FAN TURNS OFF AND THE CAR RUNS HOT.  WHY IS THE FAN NOT COMING ON ALLOWING THE CAR TO RUN HOT?

If the fan is not coming on when the car is running and hot, you may have a bad fan relay. Check the fuse box under the hood.
