Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Took over on repairs. My friend had taken out the fuel pump and never got it back in. He passed away.
Fuel pump works but car will only run for a few seconds unless you keep the starter engaged. Where do i

This is called ''Run on the starter''. Don't do this continuously, you'll burn your starter motor. This can be many things, we need more informations about your car and his condition (does the engine get the fuel he need (even if you said that the fuel pump work, did you get the fuel pressure on the line?)? Spark is good? V6/V8 camaro? Did you check the compression?)

It could be that the ignition switch is not sending power to the coils when it goes back to the "Run" position.

94 and 95 had a problem with a white ignition wire breaking. Check wires to ignition switch for a break.
