Whats wrong with my camaro
i was driving to a friends house and it started making a knocking noise and
losing power and i pulled into my friends driveway and it was smoking from
the sides of the engine smelled like oil so i let it cool off and checked the oil
it was low and my friend told me his mantaro used to do the same thing
and hed add oil and it would run like new so i got some oil and filled it back
up and it drove normally about 90% of the way back to my house ( about
22 miles) and it started to do it again and when i pulled into my driveway
and stopped to put it in reverse it dies and wouldnt turn over. im just
needing to know what might be wrong with my car and how much it might
cost me to fix
the engine was sitting at about 230 F so it wasnt too hot but it was higher than usual and my check engine soon light was on but it had been on ever since i got the car i took it to advanced auto and had them check on it and they said it had a misfire in cylinder 3 (note this is months before it broke down)
ok ill check real quick and yeah i drove it with a misfire its the only car i have and it didnt give me any problems till now i know it was stupid
Its engine oil looks like its leaking somewhere above the oil pan
The oil is full but it now looks black and smells burnt
