Looking for answers or tips on how to stop a valve from sticking in a 1985 Chrysler 5th avenue.  318 V8.  The motor runs like a champ, when the valve doesn't stick.  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, My 5th Avenue isn't listed so I picked the model closest to it which is the New Yorker

GM makes a product called "GM Top Engine Cleaner" that is the best in the business. You can use it in any car and buy it at any GM/Chevy dealership in their parts department. To use it, you will basically attach a hose to a vacuum port in your intake manifold and run the other end of the hose into the can of cleaner. Start your car so that the engine sucks down the cleaner (it's okay if the engine stalls) and then when it's done, shut the engine off and let it sit for at least half an hour, or an hour if possible. This will allow the cleaner to soften up the valve deposits. After waiting, simply start the engine and let it run. You will blow a lot of blue smoke out of the exhaust, this is the residue of the cleaner and all the gunk being blown out of the engine. Like I said, it's a great product and this works almost all of the time. If this doesn't work, try to list some more info of what exactly your engine is doing.

try some brake parts cleaner in down the carb with it running OUTSIDE the the garage with the front of the car into the wind . DO NOT BREATHE THE THICK WHITE SMOKE FROM THE EXHAUST PIPE IT WILL KILL YOU !!!! PHOSGENE GAS !!!! BUT IF IT'S AN INTAKE VALVE THIS SHOULD GET AT IT BE VERY CAREFULL USE CRC BRAKLEEN IN THE RED SRAY CAN NOT THE GREEN CAN . DO NOT SRAY ON ANY RUBBER OR PLASTIC . IT WILL EAT THEM LESS THAN HALF A CAN SHOULD DO IT (DO NOT BREATHE THE WHITE SMOKE) IF YER CHICKEN TO THIS METHOD USE GUMMOUT IN THE GAS OR THROTTLE BODY CLEANER DOWN THE CARB ok

Go to Walmart and get you a qt. of Marvel Mystry Oil. When the engine gets 1qt. low of oil, pour it in the crankcase. Run that in there for a couple of days and see if that will fix the problem. You can probably run it till the next scheduled oil change. It won't hurt the engine at all.

there is also a product called B-12 chemtool that you can use in your gas tank or your crank case that works pretty well . you did not list the mileage so I don't know your motors status but it's not that big a deal to yank the heads off an LA motor . PB
