Question type: Maintenance & Repair
We just had one motor mount replaced about a week ago. Yesterday, we noticed our car jerking when on the freeway when running the air conditioning. When we turned the air conditioning off, the jerking stopped. Then, I completely shut down. No lights, only inside dome light and hazard flashers worked. We had it towed to our favorite shop. Now, they told us they keep putting 20 fuse in and it keeps blowing out. What is wront with our car?

Your AC locked up causing the engine to struggle and stall. The alternator was restricted from charging The battery
You may have a point Greg if the serpentine belt burnt up but if the compressor or (A/C) clutch seized turning it off would not matter
You mean fuse cavity #20? In the above link Page 133 shows that as the Engine Module. I can't copy from a pdf file but if that is what it is, its the computer. A short in it. Your car is brain dead ldenaut the two incidents are unrelated..the motor mount and 'jerking' the PCM apparently has gone bad if fuse #20 repeatedly blows
But I would go with what you say FordNut.. Do the simplest cheapest way first! Then check compressor clutch with your hands to make sure it didn't lock up..!
Our mechanic thinks possibly our computer is blowing the fuse. Is it possible when the main motor mount was replaced last week, could something be moved to cause the #20A fuse power management fuse is blowing out.??? Is the PCM repairable??? Ldenaut
