Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Im trying to line up the bolts from the flywheel to the torque converter. I can't turn the

That is not good. I take it that you had the tranny out? It sounds like the torque converter is not seated in the pump. Back off the bell housing bolts or remove bringing the tranny back carefully and square. As soon as the TC turns freely, ensure that it is not touching the flywheel, do the following. Might be easier to put it on the ground. Slowly rotate the TC will putting slight pressure on it towards the back. When the notches on the TC line up with the pump the TC should slide back 1/4 to 3/8". Rotate a few turns to make sure nothing is binding. Hope nothing was damaged during the misallingment. Maybe pull the TC and check the notches for damage?? Would suck to bolt it back it and it make noise or have a damaged seal. If the pump was engaged check the allignment and ensure that the stabilizer on the front of the TC will fit into the hole in the flywheel. It might of bound up there. It should be tight but move freely. There should be a small gap between the flexplate and the TC now if the pump gets engaged correctly and the alignment is good.
