topping up oil every two months

Asked by Joanne Dec 06, 2019 at 05:20 PM about the Vauxhall Corsa

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a 14 year old corsa and it seems to be burning oil as i have to put oil
in, as the oil light comes on, its got 83000 on the clock am just wondering is
the engine burning oil, although ive seen no obvious signs of this, or could it
just be a case that it needs oil change and filter.........ive had the car 4 years
and think ive only had one service done on it. any ideas ?? will it be worth
getting car fixed or is it on its way out

If you're not checking your oil once in a while but waiting for the idiot light to come on then I think you have problems . There's some maintenance involved with owning a car .

The oil and filter should be changed every 5000 miles.
