Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 GMC envoy the transmission
just stopped going into to 3rd gear we took
the pan off and nothing was in the bottom
cleaned the filter and it still will not go into
3rd gear

Probably time for a rebuild. Just because there are no debris in the pan does not mean everything is OK.
