I looked up specs and you can tow a very very light trailer, 1000 lbs no more that 40lbs tongue weight and that will strain your transmission even then. If your pop up camper is under 1000 lbs you might get away with that. It also says if you have a cabin load of 600 lbs i.e. 4 people in it, then maybe luggage and even a roof rack, you are really pushing your limits. Remember this is a 96hp rocket.
And if this Fiesta is yours, loaded up in the back, I recommend an auxiliary transmission cooler. I hate putting a damper on it , a camping trip, but you asked.
Just keep an eye on the coolant temperature, stop every couple hours for the tranny to cool down a bit...and enjoy your camping trip, Remember I didn't say you can not pull a trailer at all. Have a nice trip and if you follow my suggestions..the information I gave you was from Ford. you will be fine
Good advice DavidH25. I own 2 small cars and afraid to tow anything although, with the proper equipment and knowledge of the vehicle's capabilities, I'm sure that either would do fine. Personally, I would consider renting or borrowing a heavier vehicle for a camping trip rather than risk down-time and repairs for my daily driver (considering all the "stuff" I like to take with me)
