Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hey what’s up guys so on my r32 1990 my rack and
pinion boot cover is all torn apart I would rather just
replace the whole part because why not swap it out
may or may not be the original I don’t know but
what Nissan car tie rod and rack and pinion can be
used on my GTR ? I.e. 1996 300zx brake pads are
the right fit for my gtr

Dorman part number 614020 is a universal steering boot and available through most auto parts stores

But what about the rack and pinion and tie rod boot itself bro would you happen to know that part number ?
The rack itself no I dont but there are plenty of importers of Japanese auto parts and you should check out the Skyline owners forum at skylineowners dot com, they have a classified section. Check out page 14 of the Energy Suspension catalog, they have a few sizes of the rod dust boots im sure one would fit and Energy Suspension is also available through most auto parts stores
Sorry tie rod dust boots.

Even that answer helped because most rack and pinions don’t come either the dustcover not sure why but I will be purchasing that as well so thank you for that and just finding parts in the US is hard for this car it’s always a man hunt when getting oem parts ha but thank you again I will definitely check that site out !
