Why does Ferrari say that you may not use Michelin or Goodyear tires on a 355 Spyder

Cause the tires are not rated to perform to the standards of the vehicle. You'll wear the tires too quick and possibly mess up the mechanics of the wheel by using these tires on your car.
They don't tell you not to put those tires on. They only recommend that you don't put them on. The best tires are Pirelli. And they recommend that you use them on all Ferraris. AAAANNNNNNDDDDD! You spelled Spider wrong. Lamborghini spells spider spyder but Ferrari spells it Spider. Do not make Ferrari like Lamborghini because Ferrari is better and always will be. Thank You!

They have a contract with pirelli likely... yes the car will be engineered to work with that compound but you can put whatever you want on it ... Pirelli makes a hell of a tire but id wager you could find better...

the way that a Michelin or goodyear tire is made is different than others by the way the dissplacement is so the tire would be hard on the axel
im sorry ferrari was better... but they have lost their edge somehow... they just are not as good as it gets anymore... id rather have a LP560 over anything ferrari makes right now... including the 599 because its just cooler... i can go as fast as needed in the lambo and really its just mental ammounts of awesomeness...
honestley im sure the ferrari guys have a partnership with pirelli and they want you to buy pirelli tires... im also sure they were tested and designed on the pirelli but you should be able to put on any comprable tire without much worry... ferraris are built to perform and your not gonna snap an axle because you used a michelin or a BFG... they are not made out of priceless oragami...

The sound of a Ferrari is the best sound you can imagine, but Lambo looks better, the 360 Challange Stradale is the last beautifull Ferrari, but Lambo is a beauty since the Gallardo's first presentation!
