CATALYTIC CONVERTOR PROBLEMS, CAR WONT START

CAR HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO REACH OVER 3500RPM RECENTLEY, THINK THIS IS
DUE TO FAULTY CATALYTIC CONVERTOR, CAR STARTED THIS MORNING BUT
SOON CUT OUT, NOW IT WON'T START AND IS NOT EVEN FIRING. COULD THIS
DOWN TO CAT BEING TOTALLY GOOSED OR IS THERE SOMETHIONG ELSE I
SHOULD BE LOOKING AT

If it was the cat, it should still start- but having a plugged exhaust might have fouled up some other components- so, I'm guessing there are a few things wrong- time for some maintenance-

you could check the other end also, the intake side. just as important.
