I have a 87 GMC Sierra 1500 1/2 ton 4.3 V6 quits running after 25 miles or so.

I drive 25 miles shut off. wouldnt restart. used starting fluid, got running.
Later started shutting down when slowing for stop? Wouldnt start with fluid??
106,000 miles. we have replaced distributor, brain box, new coil, rebuilt
throttle body. new map &  ?  sensor on throttle body. Same result? New EGR
valve! It worked with no problems for awhile. Except extra cranking after
sitting. Sits a lot. Now doing same thing???? Please some one has had this
problem before?? I need this truck for vet reunions to haul golf cart etc.
Please??
