You mean the starter felled off from the engine and hit the ground? Well, all the bolts must have been loose for a long time, and how the starter worked I'll never know.

Now my obvious question. This happen after the mechanic did the oil change and replaced the distributor cap. After the casing hit the ground, like you say, didn't the mechanic, who was right there, do anything about it? Regardless whether he worked on the starter or not.

Yes, this happened after he did the oil change and cap. He was backing it out of the bay when it stalled and when he restarted it, the starter blew up and the casing hit the ground. He did something...gave me an estimate to replace the starter.

Your 'ANSWERS" are more like questions and excuses...Now, my obvious question-Are you a mechanic at Midas?
