these things are SO tiny. you've got to be kidding me...no I mean kid-ding as this one's so small if you're above 5'4" you're in trouble. got a sentimental tooth for this particular model---British Leyland are notorious...be sure to make friends with your mechanic....buy him a fifth of scotch to ease the discomfort-

will start to shop for you, but modern designs are so much more adept at everything...and safe, with airbags will save your life. I question this decision as not only are they difficult to find, are a troublesome creature and very needy.
TX is a big ass state so no idea where you live in relation to where these Triumph Clubs are located: El Paso Triumph Club 1641 Bert Green Drive, El Paso, TX 79936-5301 Hill Country Triumph Club 8006 Bernard Street, Volente, TX 78641, 650-494-3951 Red River Triumph Club PO Box 2533, McKinney, TX 75070-2533 South Texas Triumph Association 5306 La Cieniga, San Antonio, TX 78233 Texas Triumph Register PO Box 40847, Houston, TX 77240-0847 Here's the website for the above clubs: http://www.triumphspitfire.com/ClubsNA.html I'm sure there are others, I just did a quick Google Search for the above.
I owned one long ago. Watch out for that rear end coming around in hard corners. The rear axles tuck in and you are suddenly a passenger.
Here's a couple of links for you. There are more links on the clubs' websites. http://www.sotxtriumphassn.org/ http://www.redrivertriumphclub.org/links.htm
Thanks for all the help. found a good answer as of sunday 3 march 2013. No more info required.
