Wire wheels are knock off hubs. No lug nuts, the planes are a no slip fit.

Remove the knock-off and spray penetrating oil in the splines and let sit for a few hours. just try to rock the wheels back and forth to loosen the rust and spray more oil in. WD-40 also works. Continue this procedure until you can gently pull outward on the wheel to remove it. If it doesn't come off then push it pack on and add more oil. I have spent as much as two days doing this on stored barn finds but it does work. Just be patient. No need for hammers after knock off is removed. All by hand, with oil and patience. After you do get them off, take a wire brush and clean all the splines on all four wheels to as close to bare metal as you can get. Put a light motor oil on the splines before you reinstall the wheels. PS; don't forget to clean the inside of the wheels splines also.
