Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Got a 1999 Cadillac Deville from a friend. Changed fuel pump , water pump , thermostat , alternator and now it's putting out white smoke from the tail pipe. Does anyone know what this might be? Thanks for any help, I'm about ready to give up !!!

Check for coolant lose. Also a pressure test on the cooling system with the spark plugs out will confirm if this is your issue. Some auto parts stores will loan you the test equipment.

I have a 2002 DTS Cadillac I just my thermostat put in but my car still overheating then I got a new radiator and the car is still overheating but it's no white smoke coming out the tailpipe. I have no mix oil with water! Still thinking it's not a blown head gasket so can someone answer the question for me what's wrong with it?

Northstar engines fail due to head bolts pulling loose from their threaded holes. There is a fix but it is expensive.
