Had same problem, does engine crank, if not, check for frozen air conditioner compressor. remove belt , manully turn all pullies by hand. If Frozen replace unit. With belt still off try and start motor. If motor still does not start. rotatate motor by puting breaker bar on crank bolt and rotating clock wise two full turns. If engine turns over two complete turns replace starter under intake maifold. My starter was damaged due to this condition. Good luck Nick P.S. Replacing air conditioner compressor is a job for a ace mechanic..

CHECK OUT THE TRACTION CONTROL. I FINALLY HAD TO HAVE THE TRACTION CONTROL SWITCH ON MY 99 SLS DISCONNECTED. IF I HIT A BUMP THE ENGINE WOULD SHUT OFF, SEEMS MY CUP HOLDER SITS OVER THE SWITCH AND IF THERE IS AND IF THERE IS A COFFE CUP IN THE HOLDER IT HOLDS THE SWITCH DOWN. THE SLS IS A BEAUTIFUL CAR, I'D NEVER BUY ANOTHER ONE. I LOVE CADDIES AND HAVE HAD SEVERAL. THE SLS IS NOT THE BEST TO BE SURE. TO MANY THINGS TO GO WRONG AND A NIGHTMARE TO GET REPAIRED, THE COST IS NOT REALISTIC AT ALL
