Electrical works but It wont crank

I have a 2001 Disco and I'm new to all this Land Rover business. My disco has become slow to start and this morning it wouldnt. Lights, radio etc seem normal but it doesnt even try to crank. Any ideas?

Your battery is probably weak and at the end of its life. How old is the battery? There may be enough amps to operate small accessories, but not enough to engage the solenoid on the starter, or turn the engine over. Try jumping the vehicle and that should get you going, but I would recommend having the battery load tested at a parts store. I would also suspect an alternator problem if the battery checks out to be okay. If the alternator is dead, it will not charge the and the battery will just run down until it's dead.
