my brakes go soft  intermittently, Brake peddle goes to the floor, would it be air in the system or the master
cylinder, I'm not loosing fluid

Try pushing the brake peddle down slowly. If you can slowly push it to floor its probably the master cylinder seals. You can verify this by now pushing the brake peddle down fast. If it now is firmer look toward seals in master cylinder. If you have air in the system you will be able to pump them up and they will feel spongy.

if now the above, out of round drums or warped rotors can give a low pedal, as well as wheel bearings actually.
