i have this honda city 97 model,,check engine lights on everytime i started my car,,and the worst thing is the idle was not good

Get a OBD scanner and get some P codes and post them.

my engine light lit up when i speed up.. prior to that i removed my speedo cable because of the squeaking noise it makes.

Behind the sound player or CD player you will find 2 sockets . One with 3 pen and one with 2 pen. Let's off your engine first. Jumper the 2 pen socket with a wire or anything which can connect these two points on 2pin socket. Now on the ignition only. Note pls do not start. When u on the ignition the engine or check light will blink Now find out for example first blink is 2 seconds long that means 10 and 2nd blink is .50 second which means 1 so now count down the long blink and short blinking. You can note the error code and find out on Google the error code meaning
