opening door on a soft top with a dead battery

I have a 2007 Mercedes CLK 550 soft top convertible. When all is well, when
opening the doors, the windows index down slightly to bring the glass out of the
"pocket"  in the soft top. When the door is closed, the window indexes back up
into the pocket (to seal). Now my battery is dead, and was wondering how to
open the door without damaging the glass or the "pocket" in the soft top.

Try resetting the window positions. There are instructions in the owner's manual. Works on my 2006 CLK 350
