they have turbo kits for about 3000 but other than lowering springs and switching intake and chips nothing really

Is it true that the 2004 Kia Spectra require Factory Brand Kia Transmission Speed sensors to operate the car correctly? I have a P0501 Transmission speed sensor engine check light on. I purchased a NAPA Input and Output sensor in which I only found 1 placement for the sensor under the car filter cavity of the vehicle. Kia is advising me that I need to purchase the Kia part at $151 vs Aftermaket part at $50. Am I being bamboozled? 4 Answers
