2007 kia spectra starter solenoid engages while running

Asked by David Dec 15, 2014 at 04:24 PM about the Kia Spectra

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When starting my spectra, I only have to turn the key to the "on" position and it starts. If I
don't quickly shift into reverse or drive, it will create a grinding noise. It does this only
intermittently, so I'm thinking it's just the ignition switch in the dashboard but wanted to
know if anyone else has experience with this problem/correcting it.
