FORD BANTAM ROCAM ALTERNATOR, BATTERY STARTING PROBLEM.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hi guys and gals! I have a Ford Bantam 2006 1.3. Little bit of history: I have
had her complete engine replaced approximately 4 years ago. I didn't do
much driving for 2 years due to the main reason that I am posting. I have had
the misfortune of taking my car to an idiot and the result is problems with the
starter motor (since bought a new one), the crankshaft sensor (since bought
a new one) and 4 alternators. My problem is that this idiot put some sort of
relay on my battery and once again my 4th alternator is not charging my
battery. Surely every alternator (tested and working before purchasing)
cannot be faulty once installed?! There is nothing wrong with my engine and
starter motor as when the battery is fully charged (externally done) she starts
and rides with no issues. I am at my wits end! Please somebody help me!

If the car is running and starting fine its not the starter thats youre issue, it sounds like youve spent a fair amount on alternators and id like to help make sure you wont have to buy one again, what it sounds like to me is you have a power leak somewhere, power (ethier) isn't properly getting to the alternator or isn't leaving the alternator, often times starter wiring goes along with alt wiring, try looking for unplugged wires, maybe even test the power going to and from the alternator

I'll be buying new fuses and I need a test light apparently. Will be getting one tomorrow. So no further update today. Thank you again for your assistance.
We've had them that the main starter cable has been the problem. The Amperage draw on the starte cable should be checked. Also check the starter selonoid cable is moved away from the crank angle sensor as this higher current will induce current on the crank angle sensor wire (which has a minute voltage) I test light should not be used. Rather a Multi Meter or Volt/Amp meter. The Altinater charging voltage is normally 13.5 volts
